Persona 5 Royal is a stylish turn-based RPG built around dungeon crawling, party customization, strategic combat, and Persona fusion. One minute you’re navigating daily routines, the next you’re slipping into the Metaverse to challenge corrupt minds and push them toward change.

This definitive edition includes over 40 items of previously released downloadable content, plus alternate endings, a customizable Thieves Den, and the chance to unlock Personas as you go. The game runs on a day-night cycle, so your time keeps moving whether you like it or not. Between school events, you can take part-time jobs, pursue leisure activities, and create items for dungeons or battle. Raising social statistics opens up more activities and options, while Confidants build relationships that can lead to romances or useful bonuses.

Push deeper into the Metaverse

Dungeon crawling happens in two main forms: story-specific Palaces and the randomly generated Mementos. Both are filled with Shadows, and both reward careful movement. You can use stealth to slip past enemies, solve puzzles with Third Eye, and rely on Safe Rooms to save and fast travel inside Palaces.

Fight with timing and Personas

Battles are turn-based, and you can start them with a straight encounter or jump in with an ambush for an advantage. In combat, the party uses weapons and summons Personas, while improving Confidant ranks unlocks new abilities and other benefits. It’s a lot of systems, but the game enjoys making sure your evenings stay busy.
