Strategy

Strategy games, where every move counts

Strategy games are built around decisions that matter. You plan, you read the board, you adjust when the situation shifts, and you keep one eye on what your opponent might do next. That can mean war, economics, careful placement, or a cleaner abstract duel of wits. In our catalog, the genre stretches from 1983 to 2026, so there is plenty here for players who like their fun with a side of brain strain.

What defines strategy games

A strategy game puts decision-making at the center. The point is not just action, but choosing well under pressure, often with high situational awareness and a fair bit of internal decision tree thinking. Some strategy games lean toward war games, others toward abstract play, simulation, or team-based contests. The exact shape changes, but the common thread is simple enough, the game rewards thought more than reflexes and usually expects you to think a few moves ahead.
