Scrabble is a word board game played in Hebrew against the computer. You place letter tiles on a 15×15 board, build from existing words, and score by the value of the letters and bonus squares. It is a calm, careful game of planning. Short placements, shared crossings, and a good rack can all matter, especially when you want to outscore the computer.

How to play

Tap a letter on your rack, then tap a square on the board to place it. Horizontal words read right to left, and vertical words read top to bottom. Your first word must cover the center star. After that, every new word must connect to letters already on the board. When your placement is ready, tap Play to submit it. You can use Recall if you want to rethink a move, or Pass if you have no legal option. The game ends after four passes in a row.

Controls

  • Desktop: Use mouse clicks to select a rack letter and then a board square.
  • Mobile: Tap a letter, then tap a square on the board.

Features

  • 15×15 board with bonus squares
  • Hebrew word list with about 90,000 words
  • Letter-value scoring
  • 50-point bonus for using all 7 tiles
  • Computer opponent that gets stronger over time

Tips & strategy

  • Try to place on double and triple word squares when you can.
  • Keep strong utility letters such as י, ו, and ה.
  • Several short words can score better than one long placement.
  • Use Recall before submitting if the board has a better option.

Progression

In longer sessions, Scrabble rewards steady board control more than single big moves. Watch for places where one word can touch several existing letters, since those turns often add extra points without needing a full rack dump. Bonus squares matter, but so does saving flexible letters for later. The computer gets stronger, so the board usually becomes tighter as the game goes on. That makes it useful to keep a few common letters in reserve and avoid leaving your rack awkward. If you cannot improve a position, passing is sometimes better than forcing a weak placement. The game is also a test of timing: a modest move now can open a stronger crossing later.

FAQ

How do I make a legal first move in Scrabble on the 15×15 board?

Your first word must cover the center star. After that, every new word has to connect to letters already on the board. You build by placing a rack letter on a square, then submit the placement with Play when it is ready.

What does the Recall button do in Scrabble if I change my mind?

Recall lets you rethink a move before you submit it. If the board shows a better option, you can pull back your placement and try again instead of locking in a weaker word.

How does Scrabble score words with bonus squares and letter values?

Scrabble scores by the value of the letters and by bonus squares on the 15×15 board. Hitting double or triple word squares can raise a score a lot, especially when a placement also uses good-value letters.

What is the 50-point bonus for using all 7 tiles in Scrabble?

If you use all 7 tiles in one turn, you get a 50-point bonus. That can make a strong rack dump especially powerful, but the game also rewards careful short placements and smart crossings.

When does a Scrabble match end, and what happens if I have no legal move?

The game ends after four passes in a row. If you have no legal option, you can Pass. In longer sessions, the computer gets stronger over time, so the board often becomes tighter as the game goes on.
