Sony Playstation 4

Sony Playstation 4, a big catalog with sharp edges

Sony Playstation 4 arrived in 2013, and it quickly became a familiar home for long campaigns, tight systems and the occasional late night you did not plan. Our catalog includes 207 games from 2013 to 2020, so there is plenty to sift through whether you want blockbuster series, smaller curiosities or both. Sony's console also brought a stronger focus on sharing and social features, which is handy when a boss fight goes sideways and everyone deserves to know it.

What the Sony Playstation 4 is

The PlayStation 4 is Sony's home console from the eighth generation, launched after the PlayStation 3 and designed around an AMD APU on x86-64 architecture. It introduced a redesigned controller, Remote Play, Share Play and support for HDR10 and 4K multimedia. In plain terms, it is a machine built to be connected, flexible and very comfortable living under a television. The Slim model arrived in September 2016, along with the PlayStation 4 Pro for enhanced performance in supported games.

What it is known for, and where to start in our catalog

This platform is packed with action, shooters, RPGs and series that know exactly how to keep you busy. Our catalog shows strong representation from Ubisoft and EA Sports, with Square Enix, TT Games and Ubisoft Montreal also appearing often. If you want a place to begin, try Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Alien: Isolation, Bloodborne, Batman: Arkham Knight and Battlefield 4. For something more offbeat, Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed, Axiom Verge, Blood Bowl 2, Bastion and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection all show a different side of the system.
