Code Crackers

Code Crackers is a deduction puzzle set in a clockmaker's workshop of brass, walnut and enamel pegs. The secret code has four to six pegs in six to eight colours, with or without repeats. After each guess you get feedback pegs: black for right colour in the right place, white for right colour in the wrong place. The campaign holds 60 puzzles in six chapters, starting with some rows already filled in to teach the method. There is also one daily code for everybody, a timed mode, a two-player mode and personal stats. Every colour has its own symbol so the game stays readable even if colours are hard to tell apart. Pick colours from the tray to fill the active row. You can also drag a colour to a specific slot, and tap a peg to remove it. When the row is full press Check. A small black peg means one peg is right in colour and place, a white peg means right colour, wrong place. The order of the small pegs says nothing about positions. In no-duplicates puzzles each colour appears at most once. A hint reveals one peg or a colour that is not in the code, but costs a star. Finish within the par number of tries for three stars. • Before each guess make sure it is consistent with every earlier clue
• In no-duplicates puzzles a colour already used cannot repeat in the row
• Use a hint on a colour that is not in the code to narrow the options
• In timed mode guess fast: a failed code costs ten seconds
