Axe Legends

Axe Legends is a side-scrolling fantasy beat-em-up with its own heroes and world, drawn in a bright painted storybook style. Three very different heroes: Brannoch the heavy barbarian, Sylwen the fast archer-rogue and Orlen the wizard. You walk a lane with depth, fight raiders, bowmen, shield guards and brutes, chase thieves carrying potion sacks and steal rideable beasts from your enemies. There are six stages with mid-bosses and bosses, an endless survival arena and two-player local co-op. It suits anyone who likes beat-em-ups with good feel, alone or with a friend. Reach the end of each stage and beat the boss. Tap attack for a three-hit combo, where the third hit knocks enemies down. Run (double-tap a direction) then attack for a dash attack, and jump then attack for an air strike that gets past shields. Walk into a weak enemy to grab him, then attack to throw him into the others. Thieves carry potions: hit them and the potions drop. Press magic to cast a screen spell, and one, two or three potions give level 1, 2 or 3 with more power. When you defeat a rider his beast stays behind, and if you jump next to it you ride it and get strong attacks and extra protection. Stars come from clearing, clearing without losing a life and clearing fast, and coins buy outfits. • Chase thieves first: every potion they drop is stronger magic later
• Against a shield guard, get behind him, jump and strike from above, or grab and throw
• A red exclamation mark above an enemy is a warning: step up or down the lane to dodge
• Save level 3 magic for bosses or a big wave, and remember you are protected while casting
• Never leave a beast behind: it takes hits for you and wipes out groups
